Fifty-six years ago today (13JUN1952) my friend, Earl Markham, joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Over the last five and a half decades Earl has done just about everything an Auxiliarist can do and still serves today as an active Coxswain, Qualification Examiner, Instructor, and Member Training Officer.
